As you probably know, we are a Virtual Assistant Agency (VAA), so this means we do online work for other companies.
So far, we have only posted about different services that can be done online but now it is time to talk about what we have been up to over the past 7 days.
Website development and social media management.
Social Media Management (SMM)
Over the past week we have been working with our newest client. One of the services we are currently doing for them is SMM, the title is self-explanatory, we post on their social media accounts whilst keeping logs on data.
What does it really mean to post on their social media accounts? It means that we not only edit the content which is provided by them, but to also scheduling post for the coming weeks.
When we talk about keeping logs on data all this really means is to look at the amount of impressions, interactions and reach we are creating. This could be something like over x amount of time this post and that post brought in x amount of impressions.
This allows us to provide data that shows the client what we are doing is actually affecting their online presence positively.
Website Development
When we reached out to our client, we instantly knew a website needed to be built for them. Then started thinking about how it would look and discussed our ideas to the client. They like the sound of them and gave the thumbs up to proceed.
It proved to be quite difficult but also interesting due to the fact they were already hosting a ‘Coming soon’ website, this essentially means they just hadn’t put the effort or time to create an actual one.
Why does this matter? If they’re domain is already being hosted by x company then it is a pain in the backside to transfer it to the desired hosting company and this is important because companies such as Godaddy or Shopify or Wix offer little editing ability compare to places like WordPress.
Conclusion
Make sure to keep logs of data on any social media for before and after you started managing it. This gives you far greater leverage to stay on the contract. If you are doing well of course.
Make sure you do extensive research on any companies’ current website if you have intention of making it better. Especially when it come to which hosting provider they are using.
