How To Write A Blog Post.

If you haven’t seen the previous post “How To Start A Blog” then we recommend you go and read that as this post will go into greater detail about actually writing a post.

From the title to format, we are going to share everything we know about writing a blog post.

We are going to go in order of writing a blog, starting with a title and ending with the conclusion.

Title

This is the part that draws the most people in unless they are directly looking for your post.

The way we make our titles stand out is by making it short and snappy.

We create our titles before writing the post, this is a reference about what we are talking about.

Introduction

We like to put this directly under the title instead of a subheading.

Try and write it like a book, allow the readers to know what the post is about.

We like to keep it to three points long, making sure the reader can skim through it and still gain information.

Main body

Create subheadings, we use these to organize the post.

What we find works is keeping sentences short, making sure the audience remains interested.

Again, we like to keep everything short and snappy, including the subheadings. As you can see we like to keep each subheading three to four sentences long. It does take some practice to summarize everything to three to four sentences however.

Conclusion

The conclusion is very similar to your introduction, but we see it as more of a reminder.

Once again, summarise everything you have talked about.

And we like to ask that the audience comments on our post in case we missed anything out.

Format

Just from this post you can see how we like to format our posts but, how to format it is up to you.

There are so many options for formality, you can be as informal as you like or be as formal as you like. The true skill is finding the balance.
